Corporate Partnership

What can a company get out of its employees being members of JCI?

“JCI is the most engaged organisation I’ve ever come across, because it’s a voluntary organisation of people who absolutely care about making a difference in their local areas as well as for themselves in terms of the opportunities they have to grow and develop themselves.”

Wayne Clarke, Managing Partner, Best Companies Partnership, (Sunday Times 100 Best Companies)

“Volunteering offers participants the opportunity to strengthen their skills, broaden their networks, break out of a career, and find new meaning in their job. All these benefits to employers in the form of increased engagement and retention… corporate volunteer programs deliver more than a karmic paycheck. By providing a practical bonus for both participants and employers, they’re not just a “nice to have” perk but a retention tool, leadership development opportunity, and strategic business initiative.”

Sylvia Ann Hewlett, President of the Center for Talent Innovation, Harvard Business Review, 5th March 2012

Creating engaged employees – make a difference to the bottom line:

  • Individuals learn to be proactive and take responsibility. Nothing happens in JCI without this. These behaviors are transferred into the working environment
  • Staff develop new and improve existing skills and competencies via a mix of formal training evenings and practical projects. Examples include financial skills learnt when running a project such as an annual dinner
  • One of the key benefits of JCI membership is the development of self-confidence and self-belief which has a positive impact on all areas of our members’ lives.
  • Members gave the opportunity to hear some of the top speakers in the world at our World and Area Conferences.
  • Leaders only really learn to lead by leading and JCI offers members the opportunity to lead projects, chambers and indeed the National Programme. As every member is in effect a volunteer this is the ultimate test of leadership as you have to motivate, inspire and communicate well in order to deliver the projects.
  • If you have staff who are relocated on a frequent basis JCI helps them settle and make friends in a new area quickly resulting in them being more efficient.
  • And what’s more they get to have fun doing it!

  • JCI Elite local projects
  • a mentorship program
  • a series of business classes

JCI Elite is flexible. We always want our members and partners to get the most out of what we do. So we will work with you to make sure that you get a sponsorship package that suits your needs and wants.

An example of corporate membership

Say your company is interested in getting involved in the local community. At a networking event, you meet a JCI member and agree to come along to the next JCI business seminar. By the end of the year, you are the main sponsor for the annual dinner. And you can bring a table of 10 guests to the dinner. Two or more of your colleagues enjoy free JCI membership for one year. You then sponsor the local JCI Elite’s Asia Youth Exchange project. This gets you good press in local media. It boosts your profile as a company that cares about the local community. You win new business as a result.

Here are some more benefits of sponsoring JCI:

  • Your company get access to training and development opportunities with JCI
  • Cost-effective training from international trainers and speakers
  • Opportunities for you and your colleagues to take on leadership roles in JCI and prepare yourself for bigger tasks in your organisation.
